New images and videos circulating on social media purportedly showing Sean “Diddy” Combs hugging fellow inmates in prison have been confirmed as artificial intelligence (AI) fabrications.

The photos, some even watermarked with TMZ logos, have misled fans into believing they depict the music mogul at Fort Dix federal prison.

While TMZ has obtained real photos and videos of Diddy in prison, the viral selfies and clips showing him posing with other inmates are not authentic. A representative for Combs, Juda Engelmayer, clarified that none of the AI-generated content reflects reality. “These images are not real. They are A.I. fabrications. Sean has always treated people with kindness and respect, but it’s disconcerting how often manipulated or A.I.-generated images are being pushed into the conversation while he is in a federal facility,” Engelmayer said.

The viral AI content includes a video purporting to show Diddy in prison attire interacting with other inmates, and social media posts feature him smiling and embracing fellow prisoners. Experts note that AI-generated media is becoming increasingly sophisticated, making it difficult for users to distinguish authentic images from digitally fabricated ones.

Fans are advised to verify such content by checking trusted sources. If images or videos are not published by legitimate outlets, including TMZ, they should be treated as false. The spread of AI-generated images of celebrities, including Diddy, highlights the growing challenge of misinformation in the digital age.
