Millie Bobby Brown says she once had “the biggest crush” on her 'Stranger Things' co-star
Millie Bobby Brown has spoken about her early feelings for her Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp, reflecting on their long-standing friendship in a recent joint interview.
The pair, both 21, appeared together in a Vogue video released on November 25, revisiting their first impressions of each other from the early days of the series.
Schnapp said he first met Brown before she shaved her head to play Eleven in the first season, which debuted in 2016. He recalled not recognising her without her hair and said he felt a bond with her “right away.”
He added, “I thought you were, like, so funny and made me feel so comfortable.” Schnapp, who is the godfather to Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi’s baby, then joked that Brown had been attracted to him when they first met.
Brown responded by acknowledging that she “did have like the biggest crush on [him]” during their childhood. She added, “I loved you so much. But I actually just think it was really platonic. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love him so much.’” Schnapp said that at one point he thought he “was in love with” Brown.
The actors further discussed their friendship in a November 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight, where they spoke about the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, released on November 26 on Netflix.
When asked what they would miss most, both replied, “each other,” explaining that they have come to view one another as siblings. Schnapp compared his relationship with Brown to the dynamic he has with his twin sister, Chloe, while Brown joked, “I’m actually the triplet.”
Both actors said they plan to maintain their friendship beyond the conclusion of the series, noting the significance of the bond formed during nearly a decade working together.
