Pak-Saudi joint military exercise 'Al-Battar II' concludes

The Pakistan–Saudi Arabia joint military exercise Al-Battar II has concluded in Tabuk, wrapping up over a week of intensive counterterrorism training held from November 18 to 26.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise brought together the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and Saudi military units for advanced drills designed to strengthen interoperability and sharpen operational readiness. The closing ceremony in Tabuk was attended by the General Officer Commanding the SSG as Pakistan’s Chief Guest, alongside senior officials from the Saudi armed forces.

The drills focused on urban combat, improvised explosive device (IED) disposal, and coordinated tactical procedures aimed at improving joint response capabilities.
ISPR said the engagement not only enhanced the forces’ ability to conduct complex operations but also further cemented the longstanding defence partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. All training objectives were successfully met, reaffirming the two countries’ shared commitment to regional stability, security, and collective preparedness, it concluded.
