2025: security forces conduct over 67,000 IBOs

ISLAMABAD:

The security forces have carried out 67,023 intelligence?based operations (IBOs) across the country so far this year, resulting in the killing of 1,873 terrorists.

According to the annual counterterrorism data released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Tuesday, security forces faced a surge of 4,729 terrorist incidents across the country, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) accounting for 3,357 of them, the highest among all provinces.

The ISPR said Balochistan witnessed the largest number of IBOs of 53,000 operations since January 2025.
