Scary Movie 6 has completed filming in Atlanta and moved into post-production

Scary Movie 6 has officially completed filming in Atlanta, Georgia, and has now entered post-production. The update was confirmed through a thank-you note sent by the Wayans family to the film’s cast and crew, acknowledging their collective contribution and emphasizing the project’s comedic tone.
The message expressed appreciation for the team’s efforts, stating that their work had resulted in “one funny movie” and welcoming everyone into the Wayans family.
The sixth installment is directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Rick Alvarez, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Marlon Wayans, with Alvarez, Neal H. Moritz, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans producing. Jonathan Glickman and Alexandra Loewy serve as executive producers.
In an appearance on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, actress Regina Hall explained her decision to reprise the role of Brenda Meeks, saying she found the script “really funny” and was excited to reunite with the returning cast, including Anna Faris. She hinted that Brenda and Cindy’s chaotic friendship remains central to the film.
The upcoming movie features many original cast members returning to the franchise, such as Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Dave Sheridan, Cheri Oteri, and Chris Elliott. New cast additions include Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Savannah Lee Nassif, Cameron Scott Roberts, Sydney Park, Gregg Wayans, Ruby Snowber, and Benny Zielke.
In a recent segment on CBS Sunday Morning, Marlon Wayans discussed the emotional legacy of the original Scary Movie films and expressed enthusiasm for revisiting the franchise with the original team. He reflected on the impact of the first film and the significance of the Wayans family’s involvement in shaping the series’ success.
