YouTuber WhistlinDiesel, known off-camera as Cody Detwiler, has spoken out following his November 12 arrest in Williamson County, Tennessee, where he was taken into custody on a tax evasion charge and released the same day after posting a $2 million bond. In a series of Instagram Stories and Reels, Detwiler said he plans to share a full explanation soon and hinted that the circumstances surrounding the arrest are “interesting.” He added that he will not discuss the legal situation or decisions made behind the scenes until he records a detailed video for his YouTube channel. He did not announce when that video would be released.

Detwiler also addressed criticism from viewers who accused him of “selling out,” arguing that he has never compromised his personality or content style for money or brand approval. According to him, nothing about his work has changed to satisfy advertisers, and he intends to continue producing videos in the same tone and manner that built his audience.

The creator went on to mention his November 19 court date, joking about arriving in his full-scale Killdozer replica instead of one of his Ferraris. He asked followers if anyone could transport the massive 160,000-pound, 12-foot-wide vehicle to Franklin, Tennessee, noting that moving it would require wide-load support and escort vehicles. The armored bulldozer replica previously appeared in a July 2025 video in which he crushed multiple vehicles and offered to demolish buildings for viewers able to secure the necessary permits.

Authorities have not provided additional updates on the case, and Detwiler’s promised YouTube explanation is still pending.
