Ludwig Ahgren has raised more than $104,000 for the Trevor Project during a memorial charity stream held in honour of Kanabana, one of his earliest viewers who recently passed away.

Ludwig shared details across two posts on X, explaining the personal significance of the event and the influence Kanabana had during the early stages of his streaming career.

In his first post on November 13, Ludwig said that Kanabana began watching when he averaged around 100 viewers. He described her as a regular presence in his chat and credited her with being funny and supportive as his channel developed into a full-time career.

He also noted that she was trans and wrote that his community had been one of the few places where she felt comfortable expressing that.

Ludwig announced that he would host a charity stream for the Trevor Project in her memory and thanked anyone who chose to watch or donate.

One day later, Ludwig shared a follow-up confirming that the fundraiser had reached a total of $104,000. He thanked contributors and wrote that he felt “really lucky to have this community,” again acknowledging Kanabana’s impact on his channel.

The broadcast ran for nearly fifteen hours over two days and featured a variety of games. Ludwig initially planned to add one game to the queue for every $1,000 raised, but said the idea was “thrown out the window” as donations quickly rose.

On the second day, he shifted to a race against Super Smash Bros Melee professional Zain, competing to reach 100 wins. He introduced a new goal to raise $100,000 and promised to bleach his hair blonde if the milestone was reached.

The Trevor Project provides crisis support and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ youth. Ludwig did not share further details about Kanabana’s passing, and viewers on social media responded with condolences and support for the decision to direct the moment toward charity.
