PPP moves no-confidence motion against AJK PM Anwarul Haq
Motion must be included in the list of business within 3 to 7 days; party nominates Faisal Rathore for the position

The Pakistan Peoples Party has filed a no-confidence motion against Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq and nominated Faisal Rathore for the position.
Senior PPP leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf stated that the party enjoys the required strength of members and is confident that it will form the government in AJK. Rathore belongs to the Haveli district of Azad Kashmir and his father was associated with the PPP.
The requisition for the no-confidence motion against PM Anwarul Haq has been submitted with the signatures of the members of the assembly. The secretary of the assembly will give the copies of the signed motion to the speaker as well as to all members at the earliest.
After the submission of the no-confidence motion, the secretary of the assembly is obliged to include it in the list of business within three to seven days. Once included in the list, the speaker of the assembly is constitutionally bound, under Article 18, to fix a date for voting on the motion.
The assembly session cannot be postponed until the vote has been conducted, once the date for voting has been fixed. However, if the no-confidence motion fails, another motion cannot be submitted for the next six months.
