Taylor Swift has released the first trailer for her upcoming six-part documentary series Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era, which will arrive on Disney+ on December 12.

The project follows the conclusion of her global Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024 and became the first tour to gross $1 billion. The trailer was shared on Thursday as Swift continues promoting her album The Life of a Showgirl, released in October.

In an Instagram post accompanying the trailer, Swift said, “Honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate my (almost) birthday than to relive the Eras Tour with you!”

Disney+ will release the first two episodes of the documentary on December 12. According to a press statement provided with the announcement, the series explores “the development, impact, and inner-workings” of the tour as it progressed across multiple continents.

The same day will also see the premiere of a new concert film, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, recorded at the tour’s closing performance in Vancouver. This edition includes the full set for The Tortured Poets Department, which was added to the live show in 2024.

In October, Swift told fans that she wanted to document “every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives,” explaining that filmmakers were given access to capture the final stretch of the tour in detail.

Swift previously released a concert film in 2023, shot during the Los Angeles dates. That film became the highest-grossing concert and documentary release in box office history. Fans had long speculated about a follow-up that would include the later Tortured Poets Department segment.

The singer has also recently debuted The Official Release Party of a Showgirl in cinemas, which featured the world premiere of her self-directed “The Fate of Ophelia” video and additional material from her latest album.
