A total of 30,600 houses have been constructed in record time under the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” programme, latest statistics from the Punjab Housing Department reveal.
Approximately 105,700 families have received loans under the initiative so far, with a second installment disbursed to 69,200 families to complete construction.

The programme, launched earlier this year by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to provide loans and ready-made housing to underprivileged communities.
Loans under the scheme are being offered interest-free on flexible terms. A 20 per cent concession is available for full repayment within one to three years, while borrowers repaying within four to six years can avail a 10 per cent discount, the Housing Department said.
“The public’s trust in the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme is proof of its success,” a department spokesperson added.
Citizens interested in the scheme can register online by submitting a digital form at acag.punjab.gov.pk.
