After ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ Aryan Khan reportedly developing film with Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan to team up with son Aryan Khan for upcoming big-screen project

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is reportedly gearing up to direct his father in a big-screen entertainer following the success of his debut Netflix series Ba***ds of Bollywood.
The show, which featured Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, and Rajat Bedi, has been praised for its bold storytelling and fresh direction.
According to Pinkvilla, Aryan plans to take on the ambitious project with Shah Rukh as his third directorial venture, not his next one.
“Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan,” a source told the outlet.
The insider added, “His idea is to earn that opportunity through merit and let his work speak for itself. If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027.”
However, the source also hinted that the timeline could shift if Shah Rukh pushes to be directed by his son sooner, potentially fast-tracking the project.
Aryan’s second directorial is expected to begin production in 2026, as he reportedly works on developing the script and finalizing casting.
In addition, Aryan is rumored to be adapting characters from Raj Comics’ superhero universe for the big screen. Reports suggest his next venture could focus on Super Commando Dhruva, starring actor Lakshya.
While Raj Comics co-creator Manoj Gupta confirmed to Hindustan Times that a three-film deal for Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruva is in the works, he declined to reveal Aryan’s involvement, saying, “We are in the final stages of signing a three-film deal for Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruva, expected to go on floors by the end of 2026. That being said, I cannot confirm the involvement of any actor, director or studio.”
If everything goes as planned, Aryan’s third film could mark one of Bollywood’s most anticipated collaborations, the first time Shah Rukh Khan would be directed by his son.
