Kayla Nicole, former girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, is facing criticism from Taylor Swift fans following a Halloween post that reignited discussions about her past social media activity.
Nicole shared a Halloween video in which she dressed as Toni Braxton and lip-synced "He Wasn’t Man Enough", sparking speculation among fans that the clip was directed at Swift and Kelce.
Many Swift supporters interpreted the post as a subtle response to lyrics from Swift’s new album that they believe reference Nicole, causing the video to trend across platforms.
Addressing the controversy on her podcast, Nicole denied that the post was aimed at anyone, explaining that it was inspired by a childhood memory. “I had a white best friend. Her name was Taylor,” she said. “I specifically remember driving home from private school in my uniform in the back of a paddy wagon with Taylor and her mom was playing this song.” Nicole described the video as nostalgic rather than provocative.
However, as the debate continued online, older tweets from Nicole’s account resurfaced, containing language widely criticised as racist and homophobic.
