Katy Perry may end romance with Justin Trudeau due to ‘pragmatic’ outlook, source claims
Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s relationship has reportedly continued to develop, with the pair recently seen together in Santa Barbara and Paris. However, according to a source quoted by Star Magazine, Perry’s “pragmatic” approach to relationships may pose challenges for the couple.
The source described the pair as being in the “honeymoon phase,” adding that Trudeau has been “incredibly attentive and doing everything to help Perry turn the page on the difficult last few years.”
Those close to the singer are said to be supportive, with the insider noting that her “tight-knit circle of friends and collaborators see the change Trudeau has managed to create in her life in a very short span of time.”
Perry was reportedly “in a pretty dark place” around a year ago, and the source described Trudeau as “a ray of sunshine in her life.” Still, the relationship is said to be developing, with the insider acknowledging that “they still have a long way to go.”
According to the same source, Perry “has a pragmatic side when it comes to relationships, especially when she’s with somebody who is as famous as she is.” They added that she “is not a clingy person and can walk away if her needs aren’t being met.”
Reports have also suggested that Perry and Trudeau are planning to spend Christmas together, with ShuterScoop claiming the couple have been “inseparable since the yacht trip off Santa Barbara.”
Perry reportedly refers to Trudeau as her “Maple Man” and is looking forward to a private, snow-filled holiday in Ottawa.
