The 3rd F-Class National Long Range Shooting Championship wrapped up at the Army Marksmanship Unit in Jhelum on November 3, 2025, featuring top marksmen from across Pakistan competing in various distance and weapon categories.

Renowned shooter Mohsin Nawaz achieved two new national records during the event. He clinched the gold medal in the 200-meter .22 ELR Long-Range F-Class competition with a record-breaking score of 144 points, followed by another record in the FTR 300-meter category with a score of 50.9 V-bulls.

A seasoned athlete and a qualified sports psychologist, Nawaz serves as the brand ambassador for KAHLES Sports Optics and Peregrine Bullets. Widely recognized as one of Pakistan’s most accomplished long-range shooters, he has represented the country with distinction on the international stage. In 2023, he won silver at the European Long Range Championship in Bisley, while also reclaiming the Pakistan 800-yard record there with a score of 75.13 V-points.

Nawaz’s illustrious career includes Pakistan’s first-ever gold medal in NRA US long-range shooting in 2018, along with several podium finishes at elite international events such as the European Long Range Championship (UK), South African F-Class Championship, and Bisley Long Range Shooting Championship. His consistent excellence has positioned him among the world’s most respected figures in precision shooting.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the sport, Mohsin Nawaz has been nominated for the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, marking the first time in Pakistan’s history that a shooting sports athlete has been considered for this prestigious civilian award. The official investiture ceremony is expected to take place on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2026, at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
