Pakistani snooker players leave to compete at IBSF World Snooker Championships 2025
The Pakistani cueists will leave for Doha on Sunday to compete at the IBSF World Snooker Championships 2025 which will start on November 3 in Doha, Qatar.
The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association announced the six-member squad this week.
The team includes, three-time IBSF World Champion Muhammad Asif, who will be defending his title. He has the direct qualification in the round of last-48.
The current world U17 champion Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar will also directly compete in the last-48, along with the seasoned cueist Asjad Iqbal, whereas Shahid Aftab and Muhammad Sajjad will be playing in the round of last-64.
Naveed Kapadia will be participating at the delegate and officiating referee.
Aftab and Sajjad will travel with Kapadia, and they will be departing for Doha, Qatar on Sunday, November 2.
Iqbal, Asif, and Hasnain Akhtar will join them in Doha later, according to their competition schedule. The will leave for Doha on Friday, November 7.
The World Snooker Championships practice and training camp of the Pakistan snooker team is taking place at Jahangir Khan Sports Complex, Karachi.
The players’ daily practice in the camp starts at 10 am and ends at 5 pm, as they are working hard to prepare for the highly-anticipated championships.
The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association management is hopeful that the players will be successful in winning laurels for the country.
