Vice President JD Vance dressed as a meme version of himself for Halloween

Vice President JD Vance joined the Halloween fun by dressing up as a meme inspired by his own image, complete with curly brown hair and an exaggerated grin.
On Friday, Vance posted a photo on X, showing himself in costume, referencing a viral meme that portrays him with bloated cheeks and shoulder-length curls. The post, captioned simply, leaned into the online joke that’s followed him for months.
In a separate video, Vance opened a door and greeted viewers with: “Happy Halloween. And remember to say thank you.”
The clip ended with a purple-tinted filter and the “Twilight Zone” theme as he spun in a circle, adding to the self-aware humor.

The meme, often called “Fat JD”, first surfaced earlier this year after a February meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Vance asked Zelensky if he had “ever said thank you once?” The image has since circulated widely as a tongue-in-cheek caricature of the vice president.
Ahead of the reveal, conservative commentator Benny Johnson hinted at the costume on Facebook, saying Vance had promised that “the internet is going to love this.”
Vance’s playful post quickly spread across social media, with users jokingly hailing him as “the first meme-lord vice president.”
