Megyn Kelly criticises Sydney Sweeney’s sheer gown at Variety Power of Women event
Megyn Kelly said she “disapproved” of Sydney Sweeney’s revealing silver gown, calling it a “rare misstep”

Megyn Kelly has criticised Sydney Sweeney’s outfit at the Variety Power of Women event in Los Angeles, calling the actress’s sheer gown a “rare misstep.”
The Euphoria star attended the ceremony on October 29 alongside Kate Hudson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Wanda Sykes, and Nicole Scherzinger, wearing a transparent silver Christian Cowan x Elias Matso dress.
While the look attracted attention online, Kelly expressed her disapproval during Thursday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.
“So she was on the red carpet last night and she decided to show off her number one asset, which, contrary to the American Eagle jeans ad, is not really her jeans, it’s her enormous breasts, which are spectacular,” Kelly said, according to The Wrap.
“No one would take that away from her. But, controversial opinion, I object to this. I disapprove of the dress she wore because it’s completely see-through. You can see her entire nipples.”
Kelly compared Sweeney’s appearance to Kim Kardashian’s, arguing that the reality star “overshares” in her fashion choices. “She reminded me of Kim Kardashian, who overshares and then takes away the thing that is the sexiest, which is every guy’s hope to be the one who actually sees them for real, and leaving little to the imagination,” she added.
The journalist also suggested Sweeney may have been “misled” into wearing the revealing design, saying the decision could turn away some fans.
Kelly recently defended Sweeney after backlash over her American Eagle advertisement, which critics accused of promoting inappropriate messaging.
Despite her criticism of the latest outfit, Kelly reaffirmed her admiration for the actress, describing herself as a “Sydney Sweeney fan” but noting that this was “a rare misstep.”
