Ghost of Tsushima adds free Legends DLC and full Steam Deck support in major new performance update
Ghost of Tsushima receives free Legends DLC and a major Steam update improving Steam Deck performance

Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima has released a significant update for its PC version, offering free Legends DLC and improved compatibility for Steam Deck users.
The new patch, which arrived this week, delivers enhanced performance, refined stability, and full Steam Deck verification, allowing players to take the samurai adventure on the go.
The latest Steam update separates Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player campaign from its online Legends multiplayer mode. The change enables users to download the Legends experience as a free standalone DLC for anyone who owns or purchases Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut.
Existing players will see no change to their content, but new players must activate the free Legends DLC before accessing the online co-op mode.
An active PlayStation Network account remains required for the Legends mode, a policy that has previously caused discussion among Steam users. Sucker Punch stated that the decision to divide the two modes aims to improve both compatibility and regional accessibility. In particular, the change allows single-player users in affected regions to play without needing a PSN login.
Patch 8 also includes additional updates, such as various crash and bug fixes, and introduces a Steam Deck–specific graphics preset with optimised UI scaling for smaller screens. These improvements are designed to provide a smoother experience for players using Valve’s portable platform.
Players can access the full patch notes via Steam, where Sucker Punch has detailed every technical improvement and adjustment made in this major update.
