BTS member Kim Taehyung, known as V, became the first K-pop artist to attend Vogue World 2025: Hollywood on October 26 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

Personally invited by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, V appeared in a custom grey JayBaek Couture suit that incorporated traditional Korean design elements, earning widespread praise online and in Korean media.

The ensemble featured a jade norigae pendant and a vintage Gojong-era watch over 120 years old, blending hanbok-inspired details with contemporary tailoring.

Seated in the front row beside Dakota Johnson and Cynthia Erivo, V was seen greeting Wintour warmly and later gave his bouquet of flowers to fans waiting outside the venue.

Korean outlets commended his decision to highlight national heritage at an international fashion event. One publication described his look as “a refined choice to embrace and reinterpret Korean tradition,” noting that it demonstrated why fans regard him as a “national treasure.”

Online, fans and fashion enthusiasts discussed V’s appearance extensively. Many praised the harmony between modern elegance and cultural symbolism in his outfit, while others highlighted his confident yet understated demeanour on the red carpet. On X, one fan wrote, “V continues to represent Korea beautifully wherever he goes.”

The Vogue World: Hollywood event celebrated the connection between fashion and film, featuring appearances from Nicole Kidman, Jeff Goldblum, and Ayo Edebiri. V, who recently completed his South Korean military service, was seen enjoying the show alongside his fellow guests.

Vogue later noted that V’s outfit “could have easily appeared on the runway,” underscoring his influence as both a musician and fashion icon. His participation marked a symbolic moment of cultural representation, merging Korean artistry with global high fashion.
