In a shocking twist to an alleged robbery case, police have revealed that the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old woman in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area occurred while she and her husband were filming a TikTok video.

According to police, Farzana, 22, was brought to the hospital late last night with a bullet wound to her head. Her husband, Ghulam Mustafa, initially told investigators that robbers near Kamran Chowrangi opened fire during a robbery attempt, injuring his wife.

However, SHO Gulistan-e-Jauhar Kashif Rabbani said police were suspicious of Mustafa’s version from the outset, as there was no evidence of any such incident in the vicinity of Kamran Chowrangi or nearby areas.

On Saturday, Farzana succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Following her death, police took Ghulam Mustafa into custody for questioning.

During the initial investigation, police discovered the real circumstances behind the incident. SHO Rabbani stated that the shooting took place at the couple’s home in Pehlwan Goth while they were recording a TikTok video. During the filming, a gun accidentally went off, striking Farzana in the head.

Farzana, a resident of Kandhkot, had married her cousin Ghulam Mustafa nine months ago, but had not yet begun living with him. She had recently come to Karachi with her mother and brother to visit her husband.

According to police, only Farzana and Mustafa were inside the house at the time of the shooting.

A 9mm pistol used in the incident was recovered from the suspect. Police are now investigating where the weapon came from and whether the suspect has any links to street crimes in Karachi.

On the surface, the suspect claims to be a laborer, but investigators say further inquiries are underway to verify his background and determine whether the shooting was accidental or deliberate.
