7 booked for allegedly raping woman

FAISALABAD:

Police have registered a case against seven men accused of raping a woman under the pretext of marriage and stealing her cash, mobile phone, and gold jewellery. According to the complaint filed by a resident of Mohallah Gharibabad, the woman stated that she met the main suspect, Rana Owais, son of Riaz Ahmed, a resident of 243-RB Roshanwala, around six months ago. He allegedly promised to marry her.

About 10 days later, Owais reportedly rented a house at New Canal Garden Bhattah and kept the woman there, where he sexually assaulted her for several days before turning off his phone and disappearing.

When the victim visited the address he had given, she encountered Bilal, Haji Naeem, Waseem, Azam, Sarfraz, and Ahsan.Meanwhile, a woman from Khayaban Garden, identified as Amna Bibi, has appealed to senior police officials for the arrest of a salon manager and his accomplices accused of detaining and assaulting her two daughters.

According to the complaint, her daughters had gone to Jugnu Salon in Kohinoor City, under the jurisdiction of Madina Town Police Station, for makeup and styling. During the visit, the accused female stylist Janita allegedly spoiled their hair colour. When the victims demanded a refund of Rs15,000, Janita, along with accomplices Hasnain and Umar, allegedly detained and assaulted them inside the salon.
