Cricket: Sri Lanka announce squad for UAE tour
Samaraweera failed to impress in the series against Australia, while Mendis was unavailable for selection.

Sri Lanka has included three uncapped players in its Test squad for the series against Pakistan in the UAE. Batsman Thilan Samaraweera and spinner Ajantha Mendis have been left out of the squad. Samaraweera failed to impress in the series against Australia, while Mendis was unavailable for selection due to a back injury. Fresh faces in the squad include fast-bowler Nuwan Pradeep and two wicketkeeper-batsmen, Dinesh Chandimal and Kaushal Silva.
