Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes confirm engagement after cheating scandal

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes announce engagement on their podcast, revisiting their past cheating controversy

Former GMA3: What You Need to Know anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have officially announced their engagement on their joint podcast, Amy & T.J., on October 14, 2025.

The couple, who made headlines in 2022 over alleged cheating rumors, revealed that they’ve been engaged for about a month.

Robach, 51, shared that she had been proudly wearing her engagement ring at public events but was surprised that no one noticed. “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to. We’ve learned that lesson in the past,” she said, referencing how their relationship was exposed two years earlier. Holmes joked that Robach had been “dangling a ring in everybody’s face,” yet no one commented.

The pair’s romance first came to light in November 2022 when they were photographed holding hands in New York City. At the time, Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue, and Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig — sparking widespread speculation of infidelity. However, both later clarified that they had already separated from their partners before beginning their relationship.

On a December 2023 podcast episode, the duo addressed the cheating allegations directly. Holmes explained, “The day those pictures were taken, we were already in divorce proceedings.” Robach added that their relationship had been “misunderstood” and that they had simply been “outed” prematurely.

Both Robach and Holmes now appear to be moving forward, embracing their future together and leaving behind the controversy that once overshadowed their careers at ABC.
