Hasan Piker calls viral dog video a far-right, pro-Israel attack

Hasan Piker defends viral dog yelp video, calling it a far-right and pro-Israel smear campaign targeting him

Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan Piker, widely known as HasanAbi, has responded to mounting accusations of dog abuse following a viral clip from his October 7, 2025, livestream.

In the footage, Piker’s dog Kaya lets out a sharp yelp during his discussion on U.S. foreign policy, prompting speculation that the animal was harmed.

The controversy began when online users claimed the sound indicated the use of a shock collar, with outlets like Daily Mail and Israel National News amplifying the allegations. Hashtags such as #HasanPikerDogAbuse and #ShockCollarScandal quickly gained traction, racking up millions of views on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok.

Piker, 34, immediately denied the claims, clarifying in a follow-up stream that Kaya wears a vibrating collar with an AirTag, not a shock device. He explained the yelp came when the dog accidentally hit the bed frame. “She’s spoiled beyond belief — my mom treats her better than me,” he said.

While PETA encouraged a review of the situation, it also acknowledged Piker’s clarification and used the moment to promote ethical pet training. Piker, however, described the outrage as part of a coordinated far-right and pro-Israel smear campaign, linking it to ongoing attempts to discredit his pro-Palestinian advocacy.

In an Instagram Story, he wrote: “She has no idea she’s the most famous dog on the internet because of a far-right/pro-Israel slander campaign.”

Piker has long faced criticism from conservative media and pro-Israel groups for his outspoken views on Middle Eastern politics. Supporters have defended him, calling the controversy another example of manufactured outrage targeting left-wing voices online.

He truly loves his dog which happens to be an outdoor farm dog whose purpose is to protect livestock by making her stay on her mat in video frame for hours on end and berating her if she gets up to even stretch. After she yelps in pain he also berates and belittles her... out of pure love. She clearly hurt herself by standing on bare floor while he reaches for a shock collar remote and presses.. I mean he was just stretching himself. His collar clearly is a special only one of a kind vibrating only version that only has black tape on it and all of the other exact same models are the ones that shock. Yup. Far-right Pro-Israel slander campaign. Kaya is meant to be a working dog living on a farm protecting livestock. It s her instinct. It s in her DNA. Even if there was no shock collar it s still abusive to keep her housebound and forced to lay on a mat. It s abusive to keep her in a city. She s not meant to be a house pet. She s a working dog that still deserves love respect and attention . Also this type of dog can take on a bear. They re not going to yelp at hurting their dew claw. Rescue Kaya. Arrest Hasan for animal abuse and ban him from owning any animal. Animals aren t streaming props either.
