ISLAMABAD:

The IHC on Friday declared the notification appointing Dr Riaz as Chief Commissioner of Pakistan

Boy Scouts illegal and reinstated Sarfaraz Qamar Daha to his post. Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro issued a written verdict in the case. Sarfaraz Qamar Daha, through his lawyer Qasim Iqbal Jalali, had challenged the decision dated August 31, 2025, under which he was removed from office and Dr Riaz was appointed chief commissioner.

The court ruled that Sarfaraz Qamar Daha had been elected chief commissioner in regular elections in 2023; therefore, the notification removing him and appointing Dr Riaz was illegal.
