An important member of a banned organization has surrendered to the authorities in Karak district, marking another success in the government's ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details, the terrorist, known locally by his alias Sahil, turned himself in before the state and the Karak police through the mediation of the social organization Khattak Ittehad. The surrender was made possible under the leadership of District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi, whose coordinated strategy with security forces has yielded positive results in curbing terrorism across the district.
Police sources said Sahil, a resident of Saikot area, had joined the banned outfit some time ago after being misled by extremist elements. However, after realizing the organization's anti-state and unlawful motives, he repented and sought a way back into the national fold. With the assistance of Khattak Ittehad, he voluntarily surrendered himself to the authorities.
