The Islamabad district administration sealed seven illegal indoor sheesha cafes, arrested six people, and imposed heavy fines during late-night raids as part of its ongoing crackdown on unlicensed outlets.
A spokesperson said the action was taken after public complaints and field reports revealed that several cafes were operating without permission and offering indoor sheesha, which is banned under government regulations.
Teams from the administration, assisted by police, carried out inspections across different city areas. Seven establishments found violating the ban were sealed on the spot, while six individuals — including managers and employees — were arrested.
