New video shows Celeste Rivas alive after reported disappearance, raising questions in murder case

A newly surfaced video has raised urgent questions in the ongoing investigation into the death of teenager Celeste Rivas.

The 15-year-old was reported missing in May 2024, and her dismembered remains were later found in September 2025 inside a Tesla registered to rapper D4vd in the Hollywood Hills.

The footage, dated September 8, 2024, shows Rivas alive months after her disappearance was first reported.

In the video, she is seen confronting neighbours, accusing them of ringing her family’s doorbell and running away. The incident occurred just one day after her 14th birthday, contradicting the established timeline of her disappearance.

According to TMZ, who published the footage, neighbours recognised her from missing person posters that had been circulated throughout the area. One neighbour later approached her father to apologise for the disturbance, who reportedly appeared unconcerned.

This development has cast new doubt on the official narrative of the case. Rivas’s brother, Matthew, had previously stated that she left their home to see a movie with D4vd and never returned. Social media images later emerged, apparently showing the two together in the months following her disappearance.

The Los Angeles Police Department has not confirmed whether they were aware of her presence at home after she was first reported missing. The release of this video now poses significant challenges to the investigation, as authorities must reconcile the evidence of her being alive months after vanishing with the discovery of her remains a year later.

The circumstances surrounding Rivas’s death, the timeline of her disappearance, and her connection to D4vd remain under scrutiny as the case continues to attract national attention.
