Paul Bettany is set to return as White Vision in the Disney+ series Vision Quest, a WandaVision spin-off confirmed for Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and scheduled to premiere in 2026.
While Bettany has not yet been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars, fans may need to follow Vision Quest closely to understand the character’s future.
Appearing at Los Angeles Comic Con, Bettany gave a glimpse of the show’s storyline. “It’s about intergenerational trauma… fathers and sons and denial of pain and denial of your own truth and coming to terms with who and what you are,” he said.
When asked what he personally hoped to see in the next MCU phase, Bettany responded with humour, “A massive paycheck.”
Vision Quest has been created by Terry Matalas for Disney+ and will feature eight episodes. Bettany reprises his role alongside James Spader, Todd Stashwick, Ruaridh Mollica, T’Nia Miller, Emily Hampshire and Orla Brady.
The project was first developed in 2022 under head writer Jac Schaeffer but was redeveloped by Matalas in 2024 with Bettany confirmed to star. Filming took place at Pinewood Studios in London between March and July 2025, with episodes directed by Matalas, Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro and Vincenzo Natali.
