Streamer Kai Cenat has broken the Twitch subscriber world record for the third time. The milestone cements his place as the platform’s most-subscribed creator.

The record was set on day 24 of his ongoing “Mafiathon 3” streaming marathon, when Cenat surpassed his previous high of 728,535 subscribers. His record-setting journey began in 2023, when he first drew more than 300,000 subscribers. After briefly losing the top spot to VTuber Ironmouse in 2024, he reclaimed it during “Mafiathon 2” by passing 700,000 subscribers.

In this year’s marathon, Cenat is surrounded by friends including Tylil, Punga, Dezz, Rakai, Tota, and Ray, while also hosting celebrity guests. To celebrate the latest milestone, he promised supporters he would skydive live on stream. He has also set a new goal: reaching one million subscribers before “Mafiathon 3” ends.

The moment sparked strong reactions across social media. Many praised his persistence, faith, and loyalty to his team. “The true definition of ‘me vs. me,’” one supporter wrote. Others expressed skepticism about the marathon’s repetitive nature, though most agreed the accomplishment was historic.

September has been filled with other highlights for Cenat. He revealed a custom Fortnite skin, announced a Crocs collaboration featuring a “Mafiathon 3” edition shoe, and appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. These achievements, combined with surprise guest appearances on stream, have kept the spotlight on his marathon.

While opinions differ on the entertainment value of “Mafiathon 3,” Cenat’s record-breaking run underscores his growing influence. His success not only reinforces his dominance on Twitch but also reflects his broader impact on digital entertainment culture.
