Jon Bon Jovi opens up on becoming grandfather after Jake and Millie’s baby arrival
Jon Bon Jovi is embracing a new chapter in his life as a first-time grandfather. The iconic singer, 63, shared his excitement in a TikTok clip from an upcoming episode of Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast, discussing his son Jake Bongiovi and daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown.
Jake, 23, and Brown, 21, quietly tied the knot in May 2024. They recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary and announced via Instagram that they had welcomed a baby girl through adoption on August 21, 2025.
“Crazy, but great. Wonderful,” Bon Jovi said, reflecting on meeting his granddaughter. “They adopted a girl and we met the baby, obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild. It’s beautiful, I want to see pictures like every day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already. It’s cool.”
Bon Jovi also praised Brown, calling her a “sweetheart” with an “unbelievable work ethic.” He explained why he gave his blessing to the couple’s marriage. “They got married very young, but we blessed it because we get it. They are sort of mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young. And it’s working out.”
Brown and Bongiovi marked their anniversary on September 21 with heartfelt social media tributes. Brown shared a black-and-white photo from their wedding day with the caption: “1 year married 🤍 I love being your wife.” Bongiovi posted a matching photo, writing, “One year in the books, many more to go. I love you so much my beautiful wife. Happy anniversary 💕.”
The couple has kept much of their personal life private, though their adoption announcement has delighted fans around the world. With Bon Jovi now officially a grandfather, the family milestone adds another chapter to a life already filled with music, Hollywood ties, and public admiration.
