New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs has spoken out for the first time following Cardi B’s pregnancy announcement.

The NFL star, 31, addressed the news during a press conference on Wednesday, September 17, after being asked about “baby rumors.”

“Oh, my personal life?” Diggs responded with a laugh. “I told you about that. We won’t talk too much about my personal life, but I heard about that.” He went on to joke that teammates may see him celebrating in the locker room once the baby arrives.

Cardi B, 32, revealed earlier the same day that she and Diggs are expecting their first child together. She did not confirm the baby’s sex, though Diggs commented on her Instagram page that he is “100% team boy.”

The rapper, who already shares three children with estranged husband Offset, told CBS Mornings that she feels “powerful” balancing her pregnancy with ongoing music projects. “I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other,” she said.

Cardi praised Diggs for his support during stressful moments tied to her album rollout, noting that he has helped her feel “safe and confident.” The couple began dating in late 2024, shortly after Cardi filed for divorce from Offset. Diggs is also father to his daughter Nova, 8.

During a recent appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends, Cardi revealed she plans to attend Diggs’ games this NFL season and said she remains open to marriage in the future. “I would get married again. I believe in love,” she shared.
