LeBron James has broken his silence on his relationship with Drake following the rapper’s recent disses.

The NBA star addressed the tension during a sit-down interview with Speedy Morman on 360 With Speedy, where he made it clear that while things may not be the same, he still has respect for the rapper.

“Always wish him the best,” LeBron said when asked about Drake. “Obviously, different places right now, currently. He’s doing his thing, I’m doing mine. But it’s always love for sure.”

The comments mark the first time LeBron has publicly addressed the rumored fallout with Drake, which began earlier this summer. Speculation grew after LeBron was seen at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out show in Los Angeles, where he was spotted rapping along to “Not Like Us,” a track widely considered a direct attack on Drake amid his feud with Lamar.

Following the appearance, Drake appeared to take aim at LeBron in his “Fighting Irish Freestyle” and even switched up lyrics during his Wireless Festival performance, fueling rumors of a strained friendship. He later covered up a tattoo tribute to LeBron, further signaling the rift.

Despite the speculation, LeBron’s comments were calm and non-confrontational, suggesting he does not intend to escalate the situation. Drake has not yet responded to the interview, though fans are watching closely to see if he addresses it in future music.

The dynamic between LeBron James and Drake has long been viewed as a close friendship within sports and music circles, but recent events have highlighted a noticeable shift.
