Could the Twilight Saga be returning? Stephenie Meyer teases possibility
Stephenie Meyer, the author who turned Twilight into a global phenomenon, has confirmed that more stories set in the saga’s world may eventually see the light of day.
As the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary, Meyer reflected on the journey of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, explaining that while their story officially concluded with Breaking Dawn, she has drafted outlines for additional tales in the Twilight universe.
Meyer admitted that she is unsure whether she will personally write these new stories, but promised fans that the outlines will not stay hidden.
If she never completes them herself, she intends for the ideas to be released publicly, ensuring the Twilight legacy continues.
The bestselling author also revealed she has considered rewriting the original series, acknowledging that her writing has evolved since she first introduced readers to the small town of Forks and its supernatural residents.
However, she made clear that Midnight Sun, the 2020 retelling of Twilight from Edward’s perspective, was a one-time project, with no plans to continue the saga from his point of view.
Two decades later, Meyer’s hints have reignited fan enthusiasm, sparking speculation about what corners of the Twilight universe could be explored next.
Whether through her own pen or shared story outlines, the franchise appears far from finished.
