Security forces killed five terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on the night of September 14 and 15 following reports of militant presence in the area.

“During the conduct of the operation, own forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, five Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the statement said.

The ISPR added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the slain militants, who had been “actively involved in numerous terrorist activities” in the region.

A sanitisation operation was underway to clear the area of any remaining threats. The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces, in step with the nation, remain resolute in their determination to “wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country” and bring its perpetrators to justice.

The Khuzdar operation follows a series of major counter-terrorism actions across the country in recent days. Earlier, five soldiers, including a captain, embraced martyrdom in an IED attack in Kech district of Balochistan, after which security forces killed five militants of Fitna al Hindustan in a follow-up action.

Just a day earlier, security forces eliminated 31 terrorists associated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij network in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Those operations came on the heels of a wider campaign in which 45 militants were killed and 19 soldiers martyred in Bajaur, South Waziristan, and Lower Dir.

These successive operations underscore Pakistan’s intensified campaign against militant groups, with the ISPR repeatedly highlighting the role of Indian proxies and the involvement of Afghan soil in recent attacks. The military has stressed that its resolve remains firm to eradicate terrorism and restore lasting peace in the region.
