On September 15, 2025, Spotify announced a series of enhancements for its Free-tier users worldwide, designed to make the listening experience more flexible and personal.

The updates allow users to search and play any song, share tracks directly from social media, and quickly access recommendations from friends or favorite artists.

A key highlight is daylist, a dynamic playlist that refreshes throughout the day to match moods and activities.

Spotify is also letting users customize their playlists more fully by creating unique cover art with images, colors, and graphics that reflect their style.

Discovery tools are also receiving an upgrade. Free listeners now benefit from improved editorial playlists and personalized mixes like Discover Weekly and Release Radar.

Lyrics view is also more interactive, allowing users to scroll through in real time and share lines directly on social platforms such as Instagram or WhatsApp.

With these updates, Spotify aims to narrow the gap between Free and Premium, offering more control, creative options, and ways to explore music for millions of users worldwide.
