Mexican fashion influencer and TikTok star Marian Izaguirre, 23, has died after being hospitalized following her disappearance earlier this month, authorities confirmed. The Michoacán attorney general’s office announced her death on September 12, citing fatal health complications that led to her becoming brain-dead while in hospital care.

Izaguirre was initially reported missing on September 1 after her family filed a missing person report. Local authorities located her five days later, on September 6, at a hotel in Morelia, Mexico, where she had reportedly been staying for several days. Officials also found her vehicle at the hotel. Paramedics treated her on-site before transferring her to the hospital. The Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office said it is continuing its investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and hospitalization.

The popular content creator, who amassed over 4 million TikTok followers, had recently posted a haunting video before her disappearance that raised concern among fans. In the video, Izaguirre wore brightly colored clown makeup and appeared somber, even tearful, while lip-syncing to music in various locations. The 33-second clip was captioned, “All the promises of my love will go with you. Why are you leaving?” Many followers expressed worry and urged her to stay safe.

According to local outlet El Financiero, the Michoacán attorney general’s office reported that Izaguirre’s death was caused by health complications during her hospitalization. In a statement, officials noted the family authorized the donation of her organs, including skin, corneas, kidneys, and skeletal muscle.

Since the news of her passing, numerous fans and fellow creators have paid tribute to Izaguirre online. Content creator Marcelo Alcázar wrote, “In the short time I knew you, you were a wonderful girl, with a smile that never went away. You’re an angel, and you always were.”

Izaguirre’s disappearance had been circulated through Michoacán’s Alba Alert system, which described her last known whereabouts and details, including the red Kia Rio she was driving and her clothing. The investigation into her case remains ongoing as officials seek to clarify the events leading to her tragic death.
