Tenisha Warner, the widow of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, has spoken publicly to honour her late husband on what would have been their wedding anniversary. In a heartfelt post shared on his verified social media account, she released a wedding photo alongside a deeply personal statement reflecting on their love and the life they built together.

“Tomorrow marks our anniversary and my heart is wide open,” she wrote. “For the first time, I’m sharing a glimpse of the love that began it all.” Warner, who had previously stayed out of the public spotlight, described still hearing her husband’s laugh and feeling the way he made room for every part of her.

Her tribute also announced the launch of River & Ember, a company she created in honour of her husband’s belief in nurturing children’s inner light. Alongside it, she has officially opened The Warner Family Foundation with her daughter, ensuring his legacy continues through creative and educational support for young people.

“My husband believed deeply in tending not only to the inner light in children, but in ourselves,” she wrote, explaining how her own experience as a doctor of psychology and her journey with grief have shaped the mission.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his role on The Cosby Show, died in July at the age of 54 after drowning while on vacation with his family in Costa Rica. He was known for his privacy and never publicly disclosed his marriage to Tenisha, whom he wed in 2017, or the name of their daughter.

His Instagram biography now reads ‘Profile managed with love by his wife, Tenisha Warner,’ followed by the line ‘I once was sad because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.’

Closing her post, Tenisha wrote, “This is love, still moving. Still making. Still carrying us forward.”

Her statement was met with an outpouring of support from fans who continue to mourn the loss of the actor while celebrating the legacy he leaves behind.
