Chris Colfer has reunited with his on-screen father Mike O'Malley in a surprise meeting at an airport. The two actors, who played Kurt and Burt Hummel on the hit Fox musical dramedy Glee, embraced for a photo.

“Always love running into family at the airport!” Colfer wrote alongside the picture, in which he beams with a wide smile as O'Malley gestures proudly at him. Colfer followed the post with the caption “Love ya, Dad!”, echoing the affectionate relationship their characters shared on screen.

It has been ten years since Glee ended its six-season run, from 2009 to 2015. The series, which mixed comedy, drama, and musical numbers, followed a group of high school students in a glee club.

Colfer’s character Kurt Hummel became one of television’s most notable portrayals of a young gay teenager, navigating struggles with acceptance before finding love with Blaine Anderson, played by Darren Criss.

O'Malley’s Burt Hummel was a key figure in Kurt’s storyline. Initially portrayed as a traditional, sports-loving father, he evolved into a supportive parent who defended and celebrated his son. Both Colfer and O'Malley received Emmy nominations for their roles, with Colfer also winning a Golden Globe in 2011.

Since the show’s conclusion, members of the cast have reunited on several occasions. Last year, O'Malley met with Darren Criss to mark the 15th anniversary of the show’s premiere.
