Promotional artwork revealed at a Disney marketing expo in China has given fans the first complete look at Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.
The design highlights Doom’s signature elements: a gleaming silver mask, heavy armor, and a flowing green cloak, combined with scarred facial details that hint at a darker, monster-inspired interpretation of Marvel’s most iconic villain.
This full reveal builds on the earlier tease from the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where audiences only caught a glimpse of Doom’s masked silhouette.
Now, the new art presents the villain in full, showcasing textures, details, and a more menacing tone than before.

Notably, hints of mystical power are also embedded in the promotional visuals, suggesting that Marvel Studios may lean into Doom’s dual legacy as both a brilliant scientist and a master of sorcery.
This balance could position him as a uniquely dangerous adversary for the Avengers, blending technological might with supernatural abilities.
Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, is set to release on December 18, 2026. While fan reactions have praised the faithfulness to Doom’s comic book look, many also remain cautious, noting that promo art often evolves before final film designs are locked in.
Still, the reveal has intensified speculation and excitement about how Downey Jr. will bring Victor Von Doom to life on screen.
