Pakistan strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Qatar on Wednesday, terming it a violation of sovereignty and international law.

In a statement, the Foreign Office said the “provocative and reckless” action violated the UN Charter and established norms of interstate relations.

The statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the State of Qatar against what it called “unprovoked and unlawful aggression.”

Earlier, Israel launched an airstrike in Doha targeting Hamas leaders, killing five members, including the son of senior negotiator Khalil al-Hayya. Qatar said a security officer was also killed.

Israel said the attack was in response to a Hamas-claimed shooting in Jerusalem that left six dead. Hamas confirmed top negotiators survived.

The White House criticised Israel’s decision to strike inside Qatar, a key US ally, though it called targeting Hamas a “worthy goal.” President Trump assured Qatar such action would not recur.

Qatar condemned the attack as a violation of sovereignty and vowed to continue mediating Gaza ceasefire talks.

Britain, France, Germany, and the EU condemned the attack, calling them unacceptable and dangerous. Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Sharif also denounced the attack as unlawful and a threat to regional peace.
