Singer Miguel has revealed that he and partner Margaret Zhang privately welcomed their first child, a son named Angel last year.
The 39-year-old musician marked the occasion by sharing a touching Instagram post to celebrate the baby’s first birthday.
“Our baby turned 1 today,” Miguel wrote on 9 September alongside a video featuring him with his son, whose face was intentionally blurred. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELITO!!!”
Zhang also shared a series of pictures on Instagram celebrating the baby's birthday. In a carousel post that featured images of Angel with his parents, the proud mother stated that motherhood is her "best work and highest honour".
Miguel and Zhang were first seen together in early 2023, months after Miguel’s separation from Mandi, and have since kept much of their relationship private.
A Chinese-Australian creative figure with a multi-hyphenate career, Zhang began as a blogger before moving into photography, styling, and directing.
She became the youngest-ever Editor-in-Chief of Vogue China in 2021 at age 27, co-hosted the bilingual podcast Good Morning, VOGUE, directed short films, and established herself as a consultant across fashion and culture.
She announced her pregnancy publicly in June 2024 while attending the Biarritz International Film Festival.
While details about their child remain private, Miguel's and Zhang's birthday messages highlight the couple’s desire to celebrate family milestones while maintaining their child’s privacy.
