A body has been discovered inside a Tesla registered to musician D4vd at a tow yard in Hollywood, prompting an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers responded to reports of a foul odor emanating from the vehicle, which had been impounded and sitting on the property for several days. Upon inspection, authorities found a body inside a bag in the front trunk of the 2023 Tesla. The identity of the deceased remains unknown, and the case is now classified as a death investigation.

The Tesla, confirmed by ABC 7 to be registered to D4vd, hails from Hempstead, Texas. Representatives for the 20-year-old musician, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, have yet to respond to Variety’s request for comment on the situation.

D4vd, who is best known for his viral singles "Here With Me" and "Romantic Homicide," has gained significant recognition in the music industry. Both songs have accumulated over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. He is currently on his "Withered" world tour in support of his debut album, which was released earlier this year. The tour kicked off last month, and D4vd is scheduled to perform in Minneapolis before concluding the North American leg in Los Angeles on September 20.

Recently, D4vd also made headlines with his collaboration with Epic Games, releasing the first-ever official anthem for Fortnite, titled “Locked & Loaded (Official Fortnite Anthem).” The track debuted in the game alongside its inclusion in the Fortnite Global Championship Series (FNCS) Emote and Jam Track.

As the LAPD continues its investigation into the body found in the Tesla, the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear. Authorities are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death.
