Patrick Gibson has been announced as the voice of James Bond in 007 First Light, an upcoming video game developed by IO Interactive in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and Delphi.
The highly anticipated title, which will serve as an origin story for the iconic British spy, is set to launch worldwide on March 27, 2026.
A new gameplay trailer released Wednesday revealed the game’s narrative-driven action-adventure style, highlighting Bond’s early years as a young recruit navigating MI6’s rigorous training program. According to the publishers, the story will explore Bond’s resourcefulness, recklessness, and transformation into the world’s most famous secret agent.
007 First Light will be available in multiple editions. The standard version, priced at $69.99, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A physical-only “Specialist” edition, also priced at $69.99, will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. For collectors, a premium “Legacy” package is set at $299.99.
In addition to Gibson, the voice and motion-capture cast includes Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, Lennie James as mentor John Greenway, and Noemie Nakai as Miss Roth.
The announcement further strengthens IO Interactive’s partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, as the companies position the game as a major addition to the James Bond franchise.
