Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has confirmed that Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kill Blue has ended after 115 chapters but will continue in a new form with a TV anime adaptation planned for 2026.

The announcement follows a series of notable endings in the magazine throughout 2025, including Undead Unluck and Mission: Yozakura Family.

The anime adaptation will be directed by Hiro Kaburagi, known for Great Pretender and Kimi ni Todoke, with animation production handled by CUE.

Character designs will be created by Miho Daidoji, who has previously worked on Kuroko’s Basketball and Kimi ni Todoke 3rd Season.

In response to the announcement, Fujimaki said: “I am deeply grateful to all the readers who have supported Kill Blue. Seeing Juzo’s strange new school life brought to animation is a dream come true. Please look forward to the anime in 2026.”

The story of Kill Blue follows Juzo Ogami, a legendary 39-year-old assassin who has never failed a mission. After being stung by a mysterious wasp, he awakens to find himself transformed into a 13-year-old boy.

Tasked with infiltrating a middle school in his new body, Juzo faces an unusual second life surrounded by classmates, daily challenges, and the looming threat of rival assassins.

While an international release date and streaming details have not yet been confirmed, the anime is expected to adapt the complete story of the manga, providing a full narrative arc from start to finish.

The adaptation comes at a time when Shonen Jump has seen several of its series conclude, with some being cancelled and others reaching natural endings.
