The Shia community in Balochistan came under intense attack on Tuesday when 29 people were killed in two separate, targeted incidents claimed by banned militant outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
At least 26 people were killed and six others injured in Ganjidori area of Mastung, about 30 kilometres southeast of Quetta, when a group of armed men attacked a passenger bus carrying Shia pilgrims from Quetta to Iran.
Hours later, three more people, hailing from the Hazara community, were gunned down near Akhtarabad area of Quetta as their rescue team made its way to the site of the bus attack. Two others were also shot.
Balochistan Home Secretary Naseebullah Bazai called the bus attack an incident of sectarian violence but said that there had been no security lapse. “We usually provide security cover to pilgrims as they are vulnerable to target killings but we had no prior information on this journey,” he said.
Passenger bus attack
Forty-five passengers were on board the bus, most of them Shia, which was on its way to the town of Taftan that borders Iran, according to Mastung Assistant Commissioner Shahnawaz Nosherwani. He also confirmed the casualties and injuries.
“The bus was intercepted and attacked using sophisticated weapons and rocket launchers,” said driver Khushal Khan, who escaped the attack unhurt. “The attackers asked passengers to step out of the bus and shot them after identifying them as Shias. They continued firing for about 10 minutes and managed to escape in their two vehicles.”
Five others who managed to escape the attack were taken to hospital in Mastung and provided security. “As firing began, people started running like headless chickens,” Rajab Ali, a survivor, told The Express Tribune, at the District Headquarters Hospital in Quetta. “One of the assailants was filming the incident.”
Bodies and the injured lay on the crime scene for over an hour, after which people started a rescue operation on their own.
Balochistan Levies, police and rescue workers reached the spot an hour later and cordoned off the highway where the bus was attacked. The bodies and injured were taken to Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) and DHQ Hospital, Quetta. Those critically injured were sent to Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Bodies were handed over to heirs after autopsies. Victims were shot in the head, chest and abdomen, doctors said.
Rescue team attack
A senior police official said that the victims were travelling in a private car when the attackers, riding a motorcycle, opened fire at them. The bodies and injured were taken to BMC.
People from the Shia community gathered outside the BMC and staged a protest. A three-day mourning has also been announced.
(Read: Death and joy)
This is the second major attack this month targeting the Shia community in Balochistan. At least 12 people, including women and children, were killed in a suicide attack at an Eid congregation on the first day of Eidul Fitr.
According to official sources, as many as 230 people from the Shia community have been killed since 2007 in sectarian targeted killings in Balochistan. Even police officials who have chased sectarian militants have been targeted.

what has happen and now where we are standing I can only say that it is safe in Pakistan to go and watch movies than to go to mosque of any sects
Fr.o.m. Khatera from today I am not Muslim. if a Muslim is like this. it is better to be a Christian or something other than being Muslim. it's really awful, a true Muslim does not make this stuff. God help this nation. Poor, why it should happen?
Humanity is taking last breaths in in the "land of pure". My heartfelt sorrows & sympathies with the innocent victim and fellow citizens who lost their loved ones. Let me quote here the words of wisdom by Hazrat Ali (A.S): "A society can survive in the condition of kufr (faithlessness) but not in zulm (oppression)". Barbarism, cruelty and injustice is at his limit. Government and his law enforcement agencies have failed to extend the very basic right i.e. Security to its citizens. It is the time to eliminate these monsters from our country and society before its too late.
@Sonam Shyam: So every one in India is a fortune teller! predicting about the imminent downfall ( God forbid) of Pakistan. There is a Bengali proverb" HOKUNAIR DUYAYE GORU MOREY NA", means,a grazing cow will not die due to the curse of the flying vulture up in the sky. ( i'm not a Bengali, a Bangladeshi friend of mine helped me saying). Pakistan is a small country comparing India so even a minor incident looks like a bigger one, particularly to a neighbor with a large binocular in hand, watching everything what's going around here.Every incident here causes a fitful night's sleep for them. sign of a good neighbor!
@Mumtaz.Rizvi: "stop blaming America", What's new in your comments in response of my comments? every one knows this shrewd party germinated in the subcontinent And what entices you to advocate America? I think you haven't read my comments with concentration.I DID NOT blame AMERICA, it was all about a party which is the mother party( being patronized by a Super power) of all so called Jehadi parties, and their beyond understanding activities, have put the nation and country on peril.
Ever since LeJ’s leader Malik Ishaq was released this July after 14 years behind bars, the attacks against Shias have become even more deadly. It is interesting to note that the LeJ has become active in Balochistan, even distributing threatening letters against the Shia community. Is it because they want to leave their home base, Punjab, relatively untouched and ‘safe’ for themselves? The Punjab government already treats the LeJ and SSP with kid gloves and its law minister is known to be close to banned terror outfits. Hazara Shias are peace loving and law-abiding citizens. They are soft targets for a bloodthirsty sectarian outfit like the LeJ. The less than energetic response from the government and the law enforcement agencies in Balochistan, Kurram Agency and FATA to sectarian attacks has only emboldened outfits like the LeJ. What is stopping the authorities from arresting the leaders of the LeJ when they do not hesitate to ‘claim’ responsibility for brutal attacks so openly? The authorities must not turn a blind eye to this emerging pattern of targeting the Shia community. Shias in Pakistan have been victims of systematic target killings for decades now. Punjab is their stronghold and safe sanctuary. PML-N should take stringent action against this group to secure the Pakistan.
@Farhat: Brilliant very well said.
Note to the enemies of Pakistan that operates under a cover: Please note in Pakistan Shia and Sunni coexist side by side and there is no descrimination what so ever. They inter-marry and they have blood relationship too! The foreign spy agencies and their paid handlers are desperately trying to create an atmosphere of ethnic rivalry by mass killing from all directions. Let that foreign enemy know that they have failed . . . Pakistanis are brave and resilient people and they will survive and come out even stronger and the true loser face of their enemy will be exposed, punished and held accountable! God Bless Pakistan!
Its nothing but to demoralize the victimized community BECAUZE i have seen them closely, they are cool, talented, energatic and always motivated to go forward, they have served this country and they don't deserve such brutal act.
@Questionable: My friend, don't talk about foreign spy network here. You know the foreign spy network will gain nothing but waste of time by targeting innocent ethnic group who harmed no one. If the network you are talking about wants no peace then they would have done such act against the bigger powers like Pashtuns and Baloch. Come on, open your eyes and ears and look around you, in the act of terror they only picked and killed Hazara pilgrims and no one else, the rest of the passengers were left all alone but not HAZARAS. What do you make of this??????????????
History is taking its course. Pakistan and Pakistanis are going through rough times but, believe me, history is a witness whenever countries nose dived like Pakistan today, things always got better. Those nations woke up, they rose against tyrants and tyranny up in arms and put things back on the right track. It will take time though. Patience is needed. The crippled government of Pakistan has always failed to provide security to its citizens. It's about time that we, Pakistanis, pick get rid of the government and get up in arms to defend ourselves.
Like Newton's third law of motion, "every action has equal and opposite reaction." We Hazaras are pushed to the wall and we will bounce back with full force if the federal and provisional governments don't fix this screw up. Peace to all Pakistanis.
One of the reasons for this mess that we see today in our country is that we consider ourselves Muslim first then Baloch, Pathan, Hazara etc and in the end Pakistanis. The day we think of ourselves as Pakistani first and Muslim second, that day we have 50% of our problems solved. We must give up the attitude of identifying ourselves as Shia, Sunni or Baloch, Pathan and Hazara for that matter.
Speechless at this. No words are coming to my mind. Where is the state? Busy in freeing Lashkar e Jhangvi leaders so that the massacre continues???
@Bigboy: Sorry i didn't say anything in any of my comments about "foreign hands doing this", so you shouldn't have addressed me in that context. And please don't entangle me with others comments. If you think something answerable to my comments you can address me individually. That remarks could have been of others,i just commented on someone's comments blaming Muslims for the killing of Sikhs, and my appropriate answer was for the information of others too.You agreed with the killing v killing history, is something. History of the subcontinent is full of grueling hatred based killings in the name of religions.Everyone knows that.I don't want to comment on your last para, your knowledge about your and other countries is "enough" and why the government doesn't take action ,for that you can submit a petition to the government. Thanks.
Once again, a minority is targeted and once again I'm ashamed at being a majority. And its not like any religious, ethnic or cultural majority is safer either. This open hunting season for all has been going on for far too long.
MAY ALLAH BLESS THEM ALL. shia or sunni,,,,,,,muslims are being killed brothers. May Allah enable us all to understand that v need unity. those who killed these innocent human beings are not humans , trhey are just blind animals and enemies of islam as well as pakistan and humanity.
@Farhat - It appears, that the foreign spy network has taken over the internal workings of Pakistan. Any local internal gangster and new wanna be terrorist may just be an offshoot of the foreign spy network that may be, unfortunately, providing them with arms and funding in a depressed and battered inhuman economy for further exploitation. All this destruction needs heavy funding and cannot happen out of thin air!!
It was the biggest mistake to declare Pakistan as an Islamic State and also the Zia's blunders for which the country is paying a huge price. Look whats happening now, its Muslim vs Muslim whether these conflicts are amongst the Sunnis themselves or against Shias and plight of other minorities is also well known to be mentioned here. Those who criticise the secular concept which India adopted quoting one odd incident happened a decade back, must realise that secularism is the key for harmony and peace amongst many religions, caste and creeds in this country and which is the key factor for India's economic growth. The Indian Muslims of all sects along with other minorities feel much more secure here and are provided equal opportunities with the majority community without any discrimination. Though it may be too late to adopt secularism now but the estalishments in Pakistan must provide protection to its minorities and take drastic action against the organisations responsible for the killings, which are taking place so frequently.
@Was A Pakistani:
Ups... It was me who mistakenly pressed recommend.
Please see this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEAFh2e5aKM&feature=youtu.be
Should answer your question.
A petition to President, CJ & Army cheif:
Please handle the banned group "LASHKAR JANGVI" with iron hand & a robust action should be taken against and they all should bring to justice by giving them DEATH SCENTENCE
Really no word to express our sorrows towards this incident
@Javad: I agree... just that he conveniently forgets to condemn the atrocities of TTP and Islamists.
Army should do a cleansing operation in Balochistan to clear it from Lashkar e Jhangvi and other banned outfits.
Police and Courts have no choice but to hangs the leaders of these barbarians otherwise we will continue to see such incidents.
Where are you Chief Justice who know Quetta better than you?
@faraz: I totally agree with you but would further add that the Judge and Prosecutors who are responsible for the release of LeJ leader and also his supporters, specially in Punjab legislative assembly should now stand on trial. This is total nonsense. Killings should and must stop on religion or beliefs basis. Their financiers who are interestingly not other than three known brotherly countries should be called in the FO for strict explanation.
there were other people on the bus but they killed the hazaras only!
If these killings were on religious lines, its shameful and dastardly enacted on poor and simple people. If not, it must have been done by those who are anti-nationals. Please try to understand that coexistence of faith is the biggest gift of God to humanity. Joint family has always been the best option. Nations become stronger if they allow different ethnicity and cultures flourish and spread new ideas of living together. Pakistan should not fail the idea of coexistence.
@sunny: i agree with you but you know why they dont want Pakistan to grow..Because by the Grace of Allah (SWT), Pakistan has Alot of Potential...Thats Why...
This attack is clearly done to destabilize the peace in our country. Whatever their main goal is the terrorists has partly achieved their goal to promote sectarianism. Look at the comments how it has turned into a heated discussion about sunnis and shias. Don´t fall into the trap set up by the enemies. We all condemn this attack on the 26 pakistanis.
Forget the front organizations(LeJ, BLA and others). The big question is who are the individuals/groups/countries that are supporting these organizations. We have to work together to identify them and eliminate them.
May the victims of this attack rest in peace..Amen
@umair: I totally agree with you brother umair...
I want say about terrorist that they dont have any religion and they are like back 1000 years back from the animals that, they dont know about the event they are going to.. May God make these people vegetarian animals. They are not able to human.. I condemn i condemn i condemn i condemn alote...... N May Allah give the remaining people saved from these animals....
Where is the Government of Pakistan
@Faheem:
Imran Khan is a true patriot, thats why he also has strongly condemned this attack. See link:
http://insaf.pk/News/tabid/60/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/7755/Imran-Khan-condemns-the-attack-on-the-pilgrims-bus.aspx
I don't know when we'll get out of the practice of taking things on face. You have to see if this was really a religious issue or a part of a big game. Have you noticed that that when ethinic tension arises in Karachi, sectarian violence and number of suicide bombs gets reduced across the country and vice versa. Also, how come different incidents happened recently in Pakistan and Afghanistan have suddenly surfaced. It isn't an isolated incident perhaps.
@Punjabi: Sorry, and why thousands of Sikhs were murdered in a single day in Delhi and other areas by Hindus the day Indira Gandhi was assassinated.? Due to technical error ?
Where is the Humam rights organzation, Governmnet of Pakistan. Whether Hazaras are not Human. If Hazaras rise then every thing will bee.............................................
I am not a muslim and am not involved in the shia-sunni debate. But, I do find Ali to be the most admirable, upright and honest man in the history of Islam.
@Rashid: BLA is not a sectarian orgnaisation ! It's notorious sectarian terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Jhangvi which has claimed responsibility and there's no reason for not believing their claim !
Another Black Day for Hazaras and Shias in Balochistan Pakistan. Another page, red with blood, in the history has been added. HUMANITY LOOKS LIKE TAKING ITS LAST BREATHS. Justice has lost, whereas religious Barbarism, backed by State, Politics, Power and So-Called Judiciary has won. The Worst Part of all these bloodshed is that neither Provincial/Federal Governments, nor Judiciary/Militray/Inteligence Agencies/Law Enforcement Agencies have ever been serious in combating this menace. I am afriad of the day when the Peaceful, Civilized and Law abiding Hazaras and Shias take weapon, come out and retaliate. Has anybody or institution ever considered this aspect of the issue? And God forbid, if this happens, can anybody imagine the intensity and gravity of the issue then? I thank and appreciate the Wisdom and Patience of Hazara Elders who have always been advising the Younger ones to show Patience and stay Calm. But I don't exactly know how far this patience will survive. But one thing is for sure that Balochistan is more like a Jungle today. And for survival in Jungle, one has to follow the Jungle Rules.
@Kallu Mama You r mostly right. We r reaping what we seeded in the last 64 years. However, this is also a fact that being strategically located and having vast deposits of minerals some foreign forces are also interested in this peice of land. It is the responsibility of our govt whoever is involved whether jehadis, terrorists, foreign hands etc must be checked now.
The Wahabi/Salafi terrorists strike again with ruthless abundance. Looks like our strategic assets are going to isolate Pakistan and label it as a terrorist nation. Unfortunately it is going to happen sooner rather than later. If Pakistani establishment cannot protect minorities and smaller sects of Islam then the UNO should take action and take out these terrorists from Pakistani soil.
God knows when this madness will end. When will Pakistanis stop killing their own country men in the name of sects.
@Kallu Mama
Dear Mama, please don't greet Pakistani people with "Khuda Hafiz". How dare you? That is completely incorrect. I don't know why... nobody knows why but it is.
Please use "Allah Hafiz". That's the new trend in Pakistan. And Pakistanis love to use Arabian words.. more than worrying about the state of their country.
Sincerely!
@Ayesha Ilyas: And who financed the brutal killings of hundreds of thousands of sikhs by muslims during the same partition.
Hundreds of Hazara Shia community has been systematically targeted, in fact I would prefer to call it systematic genocide. Balochistan has become a lawless region and there is no writ of the government in any part of the province. Keeping silence and to be passive over recurring cowardly act of terror against law abiding and innocent Hazara Shia community is raising big question mark on the working of Intelligence and law enforcing agencies. Provincial Police with its massive strength appears be a silence spectator of these tragic incidents. These coward elements are taking full advantage of flaccid administration. The Federal and Provincial Governments should accept their failure for not being able to provide security to its citizens and let them protect themselves; it seems to be the only solution to combat these animals. It is rather disturbing fact that despite of being declared proscribed organization, the leader of LeJ was set free and gave him opportunity to take more lives of innocent people. This credit goes to PML(N) especially Rana Sanaullah who is step ahead to patronize this banned outfit. It clearly imitates the state sponsored terrorism against its own citizen for political gain. I denounce all those claiming involvement of foreign hands in these barbaric acts of sectarian killings. We don’t need foreign involvement while the people like Rana Sanaullah exist within our ranks. I don’t belong to any political party but the “fact is fact” and always bitter to narrate. I extend my heartfelt sympathy and sorrow to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones and only bread-earner in this tragic incident. As promised in the Holy Quran, for sure the Allah almighty places all the departed souls in Jannah. Allah almighty is the best (Aadil)Judge/ Justice and no one guilty of such a crime against humanity would get bail or released from his court of justice, this is our faith and being a Muslim we all have firm believe on it.
@Hassan Khan: How many years will you remain stupid and blind to not see the enmity between Shia and Sunni. This rivalry has been going on for years and will go on for years until Islam the religion of peace sees that it is killing its own. May Lord have mercy and may those killed rest in peace.
Wake up cowards ! Don't these cowards realize that God will punish them severely for their brutal acts !
@Pro Pakistani: Oooh pro-pakistani, stop your idiocy here. The killers are Muslims-so called Muslims. They are the LJ terrorists and they killed innocent people. There is no need to theorize here; people get hurt when stupidity of your kind entails such barbaric acts. Face the realities and solve rather than finding excuses. Stop being in this denial state. Pakistan ya Musalman nai koi buhath bare teer nahi chalae abhi keh saare dunya in ki jalan mai conspire kare...
@M.Shafi This is not islam, If you were educated you would know that islam is against these killings. These terrorists are phycopaths. STOP BLAMING ISLAM!
Very nice ( duur ki cawree ) .I was afraid it might have been associated to a strong political party of Karachi, but thank God!. ( we are tired of hearing Hunood, yahud o nasara ki sazish) when we try to distract others attention we had a home remedy always ready, to apply anywhere whether needed or not, actually we need just some appreciations. In fact munafiqeen are within us and until genuinely all the religious greed of dollar and cent party in the name of jehad are banned this game of evil will continue in Pakistan. We have a habit of kicking ourselves and saying "look what "they" did to us" We have a lot of character flaws in us and we need to rectify them as soon as possible. that will make a difference and we will be able to say "look we stand head high among respectable nations" Some times i regret if only we had good and brotherly ( muslims in India more than Pakistan) relationship with India most of our home problems could have been resolved and we would have been more united within us than ever before. What did we earn so far showing enmity with neighbors.
@ Nidsam, absolutely. My point was the happenings are a reaction or a response and not an initiation. These should end wherever they are taking place, be it Saudia, Iran, Syria, Bahrain, wherever. Simple ignorance rule "Might is right" is being followed. Wherever the one who has might is crushing the weaker ones and this is producing reaction from around the world.
@ abdullah... How naiive... If this is a reaction to iran's persecution than what about the marginalized shias of saudi arabia who i believe only have the right to breathe in saudi arabia, badly marginalized with no political representation or economic opportunities.. This is ur country..stop looking at india, iran, saudi plz.... Be humane...cuz thats what islam teaches us.... It is ironic where we talk about animal rights we dont have sympathy for our own countrymen...
@rashid, how is this BLA when they have never carried out sectarian attacks?? clearly it is the work of banned sectarian and pro-Taliban outfits like LeJ or SSP or even TTP themselves. Remember the leader of LeJ was recently released by the Punjab Govt.
@Mumtaz.Rizvi: Very well said Mumtaz bhai ...my heart is crying on this incident...the pain is not going away...we shia (peaceful people) had been facing this shia massacre for years now...yes we say that its not the US, its not the jews, its not India...its extermists wahabi who are responsible for this...
@Cautious: You created them against ur neighbor now u eat the fruits
India will be doing all these because they want problems in pakistan
To my Shia brothers and sisters. I will fight side by side with you and will defend you even if it costs me my life. Enough is enough. We cannot sit here while ordinary citizens of our homeland are cut to pieces. Either we stand up to tyranny now or become slaves forever.
In simple words it is a retaliation of what is happening in Iran daily. Since it is not reported in the main press, majority is unaware. Investigate, get to the bottom of this and then this won't look as bad as it seems to be. May be like the flame of a match stick compared to the flames of an acid boiler.
@Mumtaz.Rizvi: Yes the head and mentor of all murderous religious parties, playing killing games in Pakistan is only one notorious, cunning and greedy of dollar, Evil mother Party who always gloat on associating itself with their "MAI BAAP", AMERICA.Unles and untill this satanic and shrewd in politics, right after the birth of Pakistan,is permanently banned the prejudices among people will not be eradicated from the core. This party is not only fooling the naive and illiterate people of the subcontinent but also it has roots in south east Asian Islamic countries.( AQALMAND RA ISHARA KAFI EST) It would be better Pakistan get rid of this satanic party, as soon as possible.this party is bringing only bad names to the people of Pakistan. You got to believe me.
It did not take long for Malik Ishaq to deliver on his promise to continue his killing spree after being released scott-free for the previous 70+ proudly confessed murders. Where is our active Supreme Court - no suo moto on this?
Muslims killing Muslims! We have become worse than animals! We are our own worst enemies. How sad is that.
OK - so far - we got Indian, IPI, obviously USA..... what a cuckoo land you live in.
Understand the problem to be ignorance.... these guys believe what they are doing is correct because of corrupted mullas .... no whitehouse involvement.....
Educate so that you may prosper.
Its Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Aalemeen, Not Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Muslimeen... think.
as someone mentioned earlier.. i agree its not shia-sunni..but it is clearly anti-shia... and lets not fool ourselves by blaming our neighbours..we know we have intolerant extremists under our own belly.... dont we know that the killers of the Baltis slaughtered in areas of chillas and kohistan or those innocent travelling to parachinar or those making attacks after attacks on hazaras of balochistan live in our own terrotories?? it is surprising to note that all these BANNED outfits our more active than our ALERT forces and Govt..
I pray for the families of the martyrs of Akhtarabad, Quetta. There are more dangerous and full of murderers city than Karachi and Lahore, why dont the Media draw government's attention there. They just moan on to clean Karachi. These hapless people were no enemy to any one there. they were innocent and were on pilgrimage, what the murderers would get killing them and what " sawab " will they be earning from that ruthless act there mentors and showing the right path, clerics know better. In fact these ulmas are responsible as they haven't been able yet to preach them true Islam. This act will sow a seed of hatred in the already contaminated of prejudices soil of different sections of Islam .
Wonder if the people who killed were 'apnay' log or those who got martyred were 'apne' log. Really hope that Taliban Khans and the likes will wake up from their slumber and recognize the enemy within.
@Fareedi: These people are driven by motivation that they are doing it for good cause of religion and their way is right way to Islamization. They firmly believe their act is guided by hands of Allah and hence they do such barbaric act. They are brain washed enough to believe killing innocents will help them drive their point. They have been well oiled to believe that force is the only way to solution. These people whom we selectively call terrorists or freedom fighters are not less than feudal age barbarians who have zero tolerance and no value for human life. For them everything else including religion holds higher value than human life. How do you reason with them ? How do you scare them ? How do you bend them ? Its an idea which is deep in their brain, idea is always immortal. Anyways, my heart reaches out to the victims family, and I pray that god give them strength to overcome this great loss. This loss is irreplaceable by any material thing, but time and communal support helps a lot. Peace to the souls. Amen.
Labaik Ya Hussain (a.s.)
Good to see that a lot of people have condemed the act of terror. However , i wonder why no one is asking the government for answers ? Can any one explain army's silence ?
"If somebody isn't your brother in faith, remember he is your equal in humanity" - Hazrat Ali ibn Abu Talib
The leader of LeJ group named as being responsible was recently released by the superior court for lack of a proper prosecution. Do the judges who carry a heavy burden of responsibility sleep soundly on receiving news such as this ?
@sunny: Mr Sunny ,
arent you and your ilk sick of repeating yourself that there is "involvement of foreign hands who want to weaken Pakistan"
What the hell your govt is doing, what is you so called "fighting fit army is doing ?
If you are so sure foriegn hands are ruining your happiness , why your army is keeping quite wha are your core commandards doing ? with their 7 series BMW's ?
If your hint is towards India, why dont you give evidence to international community and blast india for ever ?
You want the answer ?? the bitter truth is that there is no foriegn hand , there is no RAW/CIA/MOSSAD ; it is all wrong policies adopted by you over last 60 years, what you expect if you use teror as a state policy ?
wake up brother
Khuda Hafiz
Kallu Mama
Why dont the minorities understand that they are not supposed to congregate in our country? They become easy targets to Sunni`s! Am not a Sunni & understand how dangerous it is to congregate! The law of the land offers no protection to the minorities & the authorities connive in such incidents. By congregating, we are inviting deaths. This is the harsh truth & minorities have to accept this.
Iran helped Pakistan with 100millions $ and in response pakistan offered a unique gesture of thanking them. Actually its Jundullah backed by Saudi's (Laskher e Taiba) and USA, to stop Iran influencing Pakistani nation. I could not understand why my forefathers migrated from India after so many hardships for this country.
How do people distinguish between Shia and others. How do the attackers know this from looking at the physical features of a person.? I would think everybody in Balochistan looks like they are from the same stock of people.
You did another mistake by killing some people and the shias in Pakistan won sympathies of millions of sunis, you are failed groupd LeJ, you were not able eliminate shias 1465 years ago when they were handful, how you can do it now.
Where are these drama baaz Lashkari Raisani, Zulfiqar Mirza and their supporter Imran Khan and why they do not say any words about this incident as they portray themselves as so called patriotic Pakistani they have lots of pain in their heart for nothing!...puppets of establishment and it is a shamful act of muslims against the muslims I DO NOT SEE ISLAMIC JAMHURIA PAKISTAN as an islamic country anymore after such incidents.
This the price of living in the frankenstein created by Mr. Jinnah. It is land of the morally bankrupt what do you expect.
@Babloo: yes financed by those who financed Sikhs at the time of partition to kill Muslims
Is this in any way connected to IPI project? Surely deserves scrutiny since this multi-billion dollar project is so important for Pakistan.
Cool job guys, ban facebook, google, etc and release malik ishaq (lashkar e jhangvi ) and then complain about islamic extremism. WAH pakistan wah.
We all are are muslims whether shia or sunni.acording to our constitution every one has freedom to practice his faith. And more over in islam kiler of one person is killer of all humanity.
UN and US should take action against state-back forces in Balochistan to safeguard the rights of secular Baloch and Shi'ite minority in the region.
Horrendous, Cowardly Barbarianism...!!
Now where's Lashkari Raisani ?
@Hassan Khan: To destroy pakistan we dont need any one from across the border because our own man are good enough to do the job and iam sure like my name that there are no indian hands are behind this massacre, only LEJ is behind this attack , every body cry havoc for ajmal pahari and no body gives a damn to malik ishaq who was bailed out despite the fact of his confession. wow what a justice, what a brave and independent free judiciary.shame on them
Those who are arming these attackers are well know "double gaming",these days it is "art of war"
It is clear that sectarian outfits like LeJ are behind this religiously motivated killing of peace loving, god fearing shias.
Yet again fake Muslims kill the real ones... Another sad day in Pakistan.
Yet another deadly attack on hazara shia community living in Quetta. and i have no doubts in my mind that taliban ally group behind this iam very sure that there is no American,Indian or Israeli hand is behind this massacre. i wonder why the flamboyant truth teller like zulfiqar mirza is still silent on this issue. like always the revolutionist Imran Khan has no plan to stage sitting strike against this gruesome act of his beloved taliban ? when would the Jamat-e Islami set out rallies to condemn the brutality of their so called heros of faith.? May Allah Crush These Talibans along with every one who supports them. dont worry hazara community these guys often become the victim of u.s led drone attacks so some how Allah is taking your revenge from these beasts.
They ( vicitims ) had it comming. It was their mistake. Being a Shia is a crime.
More "Strategic assets" backfiring. When will Pakistan give up hatred?
Thats exactly how Khalistanis used to kill Hindu Punjabis in Indian Punjab in 1980-ties. They were armed , financed and sheltered from accross the border. History now repeats itself.
Shahdat Mubarak to all !!! as they all were going for Ziarat..
These things are not new for Shias.. Believe me these ppl cannot stop a single SHIA to go for Ziarat..
when will this butchering end...
All we can do is say what the heart says every time , insane, inhumane , this must stop , bla bla . But now i feel just so helpless , just have nothing to say you know .
:( A terrible tragedy, to say the least. Sectarian killing is going to rot the society as a whole if not checked.
Do these killers not know that the very God they use to justify their heinous actions does not approve of killing of a man.. any man following any faith?
My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones :(
This is beyond cruelty.
Barbarians have committed an inhuman cowardly act.
All those who ridicule violence will die tired ... and there is not to reason why, there is but do or die
We dont want to fight over Shia & Sunni topic i don
