Episode 8, titled Last Kiss, begins the morning after the night on the beach.

Belly wakes up in bed listening to a voice message from Jeremiah, who apologizes for missing their meetup. She sends back a short reply telling him she loves him and that she’ll see him later at the rehearsal dinner, though her thoughts are still on the previous night.

Downstairs in the kitchen, Belly faces Conrad after his late-night confession. He tells her to forget what he said, blaming it on the alcohol, but Belly doesn’t let it slide.

Their exchange grows heated as she urges him to find one of his “bullshit excuses” to skip the wedding. As Conrad recalls their many close moments, Christmas, and more recently when they nearly kissed after running errands and his leg injury, Belly cuts him off, insisting she felt nothing. Her cold dismissal finally drives him to walk away after she calls him heartless, and Conrad snaps back that she is the heartless one.

Later, alone in her room, her inner monologue admits she has never felt so alive, caught between anger and joy. She pulls out the teddy bear and the infinity necklace Conrad once gave her, physical reminders of their complicated past.

At the rehearsal dinner, Belly tries to tell Jeremiah about Conrad’s confession but is interrupted when the wedding planner pulls him aside. During the dinner speeches, Jeremiah speaks warmly about his relationship with Conrad and calls him “loyal,” despite their history.

Soon after, Jeremiah's father, Adam unexpectedly announces Jeremiah will be joining him in business. Belly is upset that such a big decision was made without her, but Jeremiah reassures her he can continue school online and that this is their chance to be independent. Belly agrees to support him but reminds him they must make choices together.

After dinner, Jeremiah and Belly plan to go for ice cream and invite Conrad, who declines and instead has a quiet, emotional talk with Laurel, who asks how he is holding up with everything.

Later, Belly visits Jeremiah’s room to tell him about Conrad’s confession, honoring their promise to keep no secrets. Jeremiah is shaken, but Belly calms him by stressing her commitment to honesty.

The next morning, Jeremiah is gone. With everyone worried, Steven convinces Conrad to find him, insisting he is responsible for all the chaos.

Laurel hands Belly a letter from Susannah, explaining Jeremiah has one too.

When Conrad finds Jeremiah, the brothers clash, and Jeremiah punches him. Jeremiah reads Susannah’s letter in tears but hands it back, saying it was addressed to Conrad. He declares Conrad is “dead” to him and that he doesn’t want him at the wedding.

Back at the house, Belly turns to Taylor, but their talk spirals when Taylor suggests Belly doesn’t truly want to marry Jeremiah. Soon after, Jeremiah returns and confronts Belly, accusing her of still being in love with Conrad and admitting he already knew about their Christmas together.

The confrontation escalates when he notices the unopened letter addressed to Belly. He explains that his letter had originally been Conrad’s and that Susannah wrote about seeing Conrad in love once, clearly pointing to Belly.

The truth breaks them. Jeremiah ends the engagement, while Belly packs her belongings, leaves the Cousins house keys behind, and heads to the airport for Paris. In the final moments, she finds Conrad waiting there, leaving the season on an unresolved but emotional note.
