Tom Hiddleston experienced an awkward moment during a live interview on Heart Radio after being unexpectedly asked about his ex Taylor Swift.
The incident took place when the actor appeared with his The Life of Chuck co-star Karen Gillan.
The 44-year-old Marvel star was discussing his online reading habits when host Devin Griffin shifted the conversation by mentioning Swift.
Hiddleston had just described how he enjoys sports articles, saying, “I find myself on the sports highlights. It’s football or if there’s been a tennis championship I’ve missed. There’s all these sports journalists who write really beautifully about sport, and I love reading what they’ve written.”
Griffin then compared this to Swift’s own browsing interests, explaining that the singer follows specific blogs and even NFL injury reports since becoming a football fan. He added, “We did just find out — Taylor Swift, big fan of a sourdough recipe blog. Very, very specific but I see how you could get into that.”
Hiddleston appeared briefly caught off guard at the mention of his former partner before Gillan stepped in with a light-hearted remark. “That feels like an Easter egg for something,” she joked, suggesting it might link to the Super Bowl.
Heart Radio later shared the exchange on TikTok with the caption, “When you accidentally mention their ex…”
Swift and Hiddleston were briefly linked in 2016 after meeting at the Met Gala, but the relationship lasted only three months.
Since then, Swift has been in a long-term relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce, while Hiddleston has been engaged to and shares a child with actress Zawe Ashton.
