An agreement has been reached between the Ulema Action Committee and the Islamabad district administration regarding the reconstruction of Shaheed Madni Mosque in Islamabad.
Under the agreement, the CDA will rebuild the mosque at the same site within four months. In the meantime, arrangements have been made for five daily congregational prayers at the mosque's site, where the administration has set up a temporary tent in the presence of Ulema Action Committee members.
It was also clarified in the agreement that the notification regarding 50 mosques was fake and no such list had been issued by the administration.
It was agreed that in future matters related to mosques in Islamabad, the district administration would consult the Ulema Action Committee and resolve issues through mutual consultation.
The agreement was signed by Mufti Owais Aziz on behalf of the Ulema Action Committee.
