Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool is officially set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, but with one major twist.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, while Wade Wilson will be part of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster, he will not join the Avengers team in the film.

Avengers: Doomsday marks the return of the Avengers franchise after the Multiverse Saga introduced no new entries. Marvel revealed the film’s cast earlier this year, including returning MCU veterans like Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. The announcement also confirmed several unexpected appearances from Fox’s original X-Men cast, including James Marsden, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart.

The casting news sparked speculation about the movie’s plot, especially with the inclusion of characters from past Marvel adaptations. However, the initial absence of Deadpool, Wolverine, and Spider-Man left fans questioning how the crossover events would unfold.

Reynolds recently hinted at his involvement through social media, fueling rumors that were confirmed with this latest report. While Deadpool will appear, his role will reportedly be separate from the Avengers’ main storyline.

Filming for Avengers: Doomsday is set to begin soon, with the cast list expected to expand further as Marvel continues to surprise fans with unexpected additions from across its cinematic history.
